The Walker House opens its historic 1850s-style tavern every Friday night from 6:00 to 9:00 PM for Paddy’s Pub Night, and every Sunday afternoon from 12:00 to 3:30 PM for a Victorian-style Afternoon Tea.
By opening the tavern space for weekly operations, the museum is creating a welcoming and accessible gathering place for local events, cultural programs, and social connection. These initiatives continue the Walker House’s long tradition as a historic tavern and hotel—and as a hub for community life—where history and hospitality meet.
The historic tavern operations help make the Walker House a year-round destination, extending its reach well beyond the summer season. Proceeds from our Tea Room and Paddy’s Pub Nights directly support the museum’s heritage preservation, educational programs, and community events, ensuring the Walker House remains a vibrant, self-sustaining cultural hub for generations to come.
