New to Kincardine?
Let us introduce you to The Walker House, built 170 years ago, and proudly standing as the oldest building in Kincardine and the oldest hotel in Bruce and Grey Counties.
Established Kincardine Municipality resident?
Then you already know that the Paddy Walker Heritage Society, with your support, has strived for more than 25 years to ensure The Walker House is a vibrant part of our community, keeping our heritage and history alive.
Thanks to overwhelming community support in the past five years, we were able to renovate the exterior, replace the roof, upgrade the HVAC system and add more bathrooms increasing our capacity for events.
Now it’s time to breathe new life into the Museum and Heritage Centre.
We are excited to welcome a NEW talented full time curator, Lydia Treidlinger. We are enthusiastically working to upgrade existing museum exhibits and improve accessibility for museum goers.
Help us make the Walker House into the Municipality’s cultural community hub!
We are planning events to appeal to all community members set within this unique historical space.
Of course building upgrades continue with this year’s focus on kitchen & electrical.
